Where do you see yourself in 10 years, ideally speaking?
Not like the generic ideal, something specifically tailored to suit your personality.
For example, here is mine:
In ten years you will find me living in a ranch in Mexico with my beautiful Mexican husband who I met on my Gap Year there when I was 18. I mean, we were parted for a few years after that whilst I got my degree back in England but we married as soon as we were reunited
So yeah, here you have me and my husband in this lovely little ranch in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. He's a fisherman, mainly, and I work as a nurse in the city hospital. I'm heavily pregnant with our first child at this time though so I'm on maternity leave. Oh, and his name is Alejandro. Our ranch is a little, charming wooden house with hot chilli peppers hanging above the front door and with limes lemons and oranges growing outside. Ahh...

Why are several factors omitted in the "Gender Wage Gap"?
-Not adding into account Hazardous and Dangerous Jobs. Men are much more likely to take these jobs. i.e. Prison guards and Alaskan King Crab fishermen.
-Maternity leave and women taking more personal time off.
-Past work experience and qualifications.
Those are just a few factors omitted.
In other words, it's based off of Men's yearly take home pay vs. Women's yearly take home pay. They then divide the groups by the amount of hours each group works which completely disregards the fact that men work longer hours on average and are less likely to take personal/sick days off.
How can we ever expect the wage gap to close if all of these factors are omitted?
So that means that the rest of the world, is wrong. Women in Turkey earn 99 cents to a man's dollar earned. There are fisherman and plenty of grunt work there.Turkey of course isn't the only country.
An employer cannot project how many sick days an employee will take in a year. There is also family leave, maternity leave for men as well. That's the law, and notice it includes BOTH genders.
What is your excuse for single women that actually out perform their male co-workers and the employer?
