Shirt Top Onesie

I am a first time mother but I know what my child needs, I don't have to dress him in three layers, do I?

Thank-you so much for everyone's advice. You all just confirmed exactly what I've been telling my husband. It's his parents who are driving me nuts, demanding and telling me outright how I should be dressing my 11 month old son. They tell me that he should be wearing an undershirt (a onesie) everyday because it's winter. So they want me to put him in a onesie, then a sleeper on over top of that.
I put him in a onesie with a sweat shirt overtop, if it's needed. I can tell what my child needs! He's an active toddler, he doesn't need double layers of clothing as a rule! They are driving me crazy. And just when I get my husband to see the light, he goes to their house and they start chirping in his ear again, and then he comes home and we have a fight about it!

In peds, we tell the parents to dress the children as they are dressed. If you don't feel the need to wear three layers, your baby probably doesn't either. You are right.

Good luck

Are Baby Onesies The Perfect Clothing?

Baby onesies have always been a staple of a newborn's wardrobe.  Worn under other shirts and outfits, or worn alone for naptime, they are versatile and have been a common shower gift for many years.  They allow easy access for diaper changes and are comfortable for baby to wear.

Over the years, baby onesies have evolved from basic items to fun and fashionable.  In the past, onesies were almost always solid white or other plain color because they were only worn under clothes to keep baby worn.  As the world of infant fashion changed, onesies underwent quite the transformation.

Now there are as many varieties of onesies as there are Baby Clothes overall.  There is a style of onesie for every parent's taste and there are many fun varieties.  Whatever you might be looking for, you can find a fun one for baby or a unique one to give as a gift.

One of the most popular varieties of baby onesies currently are music-based.  These rock themed onesies reflect bands that are likely from mom and dad's era of music and are meant to appeal to parents as something they wish they could've worn as babies themselves.  From Bob Marley to The Beatles, there are as many varieties of rock onesies as there are bands and musicians.

There are also onesies that reflect political affiliation or other hobbies and lifestyle choices.  Some same sex parents have onesies for their baby to reflect their unique parents.  It's no secret that baby onesies are fun ways to give baby his own style and keep him in the latest trends.  They can be worn with tiny jeans and sneakers, or even worn alone in the warmer months.  Whatever your preference, it's fun to find these unique items for your baby.  It's even more fun to give them as a gift.
