Infant Baby Toddler

Which of the two do you prefer over the other an infant car seat or Infant Toddler car seat?

This will be our second baby and since we went through so much money with the first we wanted to make this time a little easier.
Our baby is due in 3 weeks and since the weather is starting to warm up would it be a good idea just to buy the infant toddler car seat and just remove her when we are going out?
I was also going to buy a baby carrier so that i could carry around the baby and have my 3yr old in the bugy for when we are at the store.
Also, i'm torn between the whole stroller thing too. I don't want to buy a double stroller since my son is almost 3.5 he wont be in it too long anyways.
People with two children, what do you do with outings? What's more convenient??

I think you will regret not getting an infant car seat. Even if the weather is nice, you will always have to take the baby out of the carseat when you arrive anywhere, which will not allow them to stay asleep, and although infant body carriers are nice, when in a restaruaunt, or other places, it is nice to just se the baby down in their carrier and let them hang out in there.
Also, if you don't think a traditional double stroller is practical for you, think about getting a sit-n-stand type where the older child can either sit in the back, or stand on the platform and hang on.

I will be traveling/flying to Jamaica with a 7 month old baby/toddler/infant. What should I expect?

Any advice?

Try and get a seat in front of the bulkhead or at the end of the row. It does not have to be a terrible experience. Relax and prepare. Make sure your carry on has all the needed supplies in baggies. Always, take a change of clothes or two. As the plane ascends, give the baby formula or his pacifier to keep his ears open. You can also give him an antihistamine if you have it to ensure those ears are open and alleviate pain. Be sure to have a toy to distract him. After the the plane is in the air and you can walk about, do. Get up and hold you baby and say hello to the stewardesses or stewards. It does not have to be a terrible experience traveling with a child. I traveled literally around the world with my son and daughter. I only had one leg of the journey that was difficult and that was from Paris to Cairo, Egypt. It did not last long. She did cry but, what I find is if you are confident and relaxed so will your child. Children that get out and learn to eat out and travel are better for it and learn the proper behavior. I have no regrets and generally being prepared for the flight is the best advice. Eat early at your destination. Usually there are less people at the restaurant and you have it all to yourself. There are sometimes better prices earlier in the evenings. Have fun in Jamaica. I wish I were going too!
