how can I start off to be a plus size model?
I've always wanted to know a good way to kick off a modeling career. I'm a plus size girl myself. The only thing I cannot do is runways since im only 5'6, But photo shoots are what i am looking for. In your opinion, what is a good way to start off in this career?
I'm in your boat! I'd love to be a plus size model, but not as my career.
First off, even plus size girls need to be fit to model. Turn some flab (think arm and leg area) into muscle. You don't have to loose a lot of weight, just tone up a bit.
A great place to start modeling is Torrid. They are a plus size fashion store, and they do a model search every year! This year is over, but they are always looking for magazine models. I love Torrid because they use REAL plus size girls, not girls who are a curvy size 6 or 7. (Since when is 7 a PLUS SIZE!?)
